About Us
The Central Penn Blades are an 18+ Women's Ice Hockey program based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The program has been in existance for many years and boasts a proud tradition of growth in women's hockey in a fun and competitive way. Over the years, the Blades have introduced a great number of players to the sport and developed them not only as ice hockey players, but as women who compete in a sportsmanlike way and give back to their community.
The Blades currently compete in the UWHL Hockey League and are coming off a successful season, finishing second place in the league after a hard fought playoff run. This year the Blades will be competing in cross-divisional matchups and enjoying multi-level competition throughout the season.
Any C/D USA Hockey level players who are interested in joining this great organization are encouraged to contact us at centralpennblades@gmail.com. For new players, we would be happy to talk to you about how playing hockey could be your new favorite weekend activity.
The Blades practice and play home games at Regency Ice Rink, on Ambassador Road in Lancaster. Away games are held at the various UWHL team rinks, consisting of Ice Line, Ice Works, the Rink of 1923, and other rinks in the Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley and New Jersey region areas.
