Over the past several years, the The Central Penn Blades have enjoyed being part of the United Women's Hockey League. The Blades originally started out in an open division of play.  As the UWHL expanded, the Blades found themselves in the Red Division, where they won the Division Championship in the 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 seasons.  The Blades finished second in the 2009/2010 season in the Red Division.

For the 2010/2011 season, the Blades moved up to the White Division of the UWHL and will step up to new teams and a new challenge.

The UWHL has a total of four divisions, Red, White, Blue and Silver being the highest.  There are over 25 teams and over 300 women in the UWHL.
